“Very Peri 17-3938 is the hottest color of 2022. It is a beautiful shade created from scratch by the Pantone Color Institute that will inspire many sectors from art, fashion, design, new technologies, even our mood, as it transmits positive energies. “

Don’t just call it purple. Very Peri 17-3938 is the hottest color of 2022.

What exactly is Very Peri color? It is a beautiful shade created from scratch by the Pantone Color Institute from a periwinkle blue with a vibrant red undertone, so it is the warmest of the shades of this extraordinary tone.

According to the Pantone Color Institute, it is a color that will inspire many sectors from art, fashion, design, new technologies, even our mood, as it transmits positive energies. In fact, according to the principles of chromotherapy and Seasonal Color Analysis, the closer you get to purple, the more neurotransmitters are stimulated, promoting deep thought and serenity.

We can therefore define the Very Peri as the color of the reflection that stimulates imagination and creativity. Let us be inspired by this beautiful color!

The Very Peri, however, is not really a news of 2022, we saw it for the first time in 2021. In fact, although for some time the purple has been rejected by the people of the show or actors, for superstition, someone planned in advance.

From the end of November 2021, we had the opportunity to see this shade on the red carpet thanks to Lady Gaga. The artist, singer, and actress, but also one of the most beloved style icons in the world, showed it up at the London premiere of her latest film House of Gucci by dressing a pleated chiffon dress and cloak, both purple, made by Alessandro Michele. In addition, the diva has dared with the Very Peri not only with the clothes but also with the make-up, even more, prominent on fair skin like hers. The final effect was obviously a success!

Pantone® and fashion:

When we refer to fashion by talking about the new color 2022 Very Peri it is no coincidence.

In fact, even though we referred to Lady Gaga as a style icon, it’s important to say that Pantone® isn’t the first time it has involved fashion in its color choices.

The well-known graphics company has in fact started a collaboration with Cariuma, a Brazilian brand of sustainable sneakers.

In practice, Cariuma together with Pantone®, has created limited editions of sneakers, with high-quality raw materials such as organic cotton, natural rubber, and recycled plastic materials. Obviously, in the creation of the shoes, he took into consideration the Color of the Year, Very Peri, in limited edition!

Where will we see and have we already seen the Very Peri? Also, in the latest Men’s Spring Summer 2022 collection by Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton and in the Chanel Metiers D’Art 2021/2022 fashion show.

This color really drove all the greatest stylists crazy!

Purple and the show:

Why is purple rejected in the theater and in the show business in general and considered a color that brings bad luck? Although it is an ancient belief, it seems to be still rooted.

The motivation is very old and concerns the fact that in the Middle Ages, during Lent, shows were forbidden, and this created many inconveniences to the artists with serious economic difficulties. Therefore, purple became a color hated by artists.

Today, purple still represents the color of Lent, worn by priests, and although many artists and models have worn it publicly, the superstition has remained, and many prefer not to wear it.

Fortunately, modern times have changed a bit and Very Peri is defined as a futuristic, hopeful color. Especially in this period, Very Peri is considered the color that looks to the future with positivity.

So, let’s be inspired by this extraordinary color that gives off vibrations and let’s wear it with confidence, to amaze, dare, dream!
